About The Festival


Comox Valley Food and Wine Festival is a weekend of food and wine events on the coast of Vancouver Island, with its signature event, Grazing in the Park, mirrored after the annual Grazing in the Gardens in Tofino, BC

The signature event is a showcase of local culinary talent and British Columbia wines, craft ciders, beers and spirits set in the beautiful and serene Filberg Heritage Lodge & Park. It an opportunity to mingle with island community stars, meet local chefs, regional purveyors, BC winemakers and more, complemented with delicious treats and libations.

The event is car free, and children are not permitted to attend. Must be of legal drinking age 19+.

The event aims to aims to support community non profit organizations,  initiatives and projects, with its inaugural year benefiting the Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park AssociationsPavilion Project.

The Filberg Pavilion will provide a shelter for many special events at the Park; including weddings, concerts and Filberg Festival. It will be used in conjuction with Filberg’s Summer Kitchen, providing improvement on eating space and eliminates the Park’s need for temporary tent setups. The Pavilion will enhance rental income for the Park and facility overall. It provides a higher profile venue for small special events and its esthetic design will integrate with the Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park.

    The 1st Annual Grazing in the Park signature event welcomes a community of food and drink. The afternoon includes canapes by local chefs and island purveyors, paired with BC wines & island microbrews.

    An afternoon grazing in the beautiful setting of Filberg Park in Comox, BC, and featuring more than 75 BC wineries, craft cideries, micro brews and spirits, paired with gourmet canapes provided by local chefs and Vancouver Island purveyors.The afternoon includes live music with long time festival friends; Dinah D’s Contraband Swingclub (Gabriola Island), Tad Ruszel and Friends (Victoria, BC) and DJ Chris McCue (Tofino, BC).

    A portion of each ticket contributes to fundraising for the Filberg Heritage Lodge & Park Associations‘ Pavilion Project.
